Om Malik , founder of GigaOM says “blogs are by the people who live in their community and focus on the issues of their community” and therefore listen better than big Media Cos. This is one of the reasons hyper-local real estate blogs do well because they are usually run by agents who intricately knows their target neighborhoods, listen to their local market , and become the voice of he commmunity.
