How to add a PDF to a Post

Sharing PDFs such as newsletters , magazines, brochures is easy and can be done in a few steps as described below.

(1)Click on the “MEDIA” tab in your dashboard and select the “Browser Uploader” . Choose a PDF file to upload. Click on “Upload” button.

(2)The PDF document that was just uploaded will appear in the Media Library.
Click on “Edit” to pull up the image options page.

(3)On the EDIT MEDIA page, add a “Title”, “Caption”, and “Description” for the PDF document.
Highlight the “File URL” and copy this [CTRL "C" or CMD "C"] link to your clipboard.
This link to your PDF document will be used to add to your post.

a) Add a New POST



b)Click on HTML tab

c)Insert the following into the post:
[gview file=""]

d)Copy your url from STEP 3 (above) between the quotes, it should now look like this:
[gview file="http://realiventdemo.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/pdftest1.pdf"]



(5)Click “Publish” or “Update” post and “Preview” post
