(1)Goto: http://analytics.google.com

(2)Sign into your Google account. A Google account (i.e. Gmail )is required to access analytics code. If you don’t have one, this is a good opportunity to get one.

(3)Click on “Add a Website Profile”.

(4)Add your blogsite URL in the required field and click “Finish”.

(5)Copy the UA-XXXXXX Code to your clipboard.

(6)Click “Finish” to complete adding a website profile.

(7)Login to your BlogSite

(8)Scroll down to the Google Analytics Page on the left sidebar. Paste in your UA-XXXXXX code that you copied from Step #5 above. Click “Update Google Analytics Settings”

(9)View your page source and check to see if the code has been inserted into your blogsite. Go to your blogsite’s main page: www.yoursite.com and right click to “View Source”.

If you see the code below, it indicates that Google Analytics has not been installed correctly.

If the source code shows your Google Analytics ID#, then your tracking code has been successfully installed. Below is an example of a successfully installed Google Analytics code.
